Praise be to God
Almighty who honored us w ith this
trust, we ask him alone for reward and trust in what
we say and do. We are grateful for your confidence
which we are both proud, and pleased with.
The council was established on January 1, 2003, in
response to the tragic reality of the lack of
services and infrastructure due to the absence of
many of the institutions which would normally be
tasked with caring for the issues of both the town
and the populace.
It has been
our ambition, since our conception, to
embark upon a study of the need of resources
in a professional, scientific and
comprehensive way. We believe this is
possible despite the shortage of facilities
and resources, as well as the negative
affects of the occupation, and the overall
conditions in Palestine. This study is based
upon a sound structure for planning and
sustainable development through a systemized
process.
The first decision taken was to base the
council's message on justice, equality and winning
the trust of the community,
through daily behaviors and through
involvement in the drafting of a resolution for a
just and respectable council,
as well as in finding objects representative
of the various sectors and segments, through their
work and support. In actuality, we found seven
institutions and local associations.
After nearly four years of successive
achievements and daily services, and by the grace of
God Almighty, perhaps the most notable achievement
was the establishment of the council itself, and the
professionalism and extensive network of
relationships which came as a result. We also must
acknowledge the detailed studies which were prepared
and which will help facilitate meeting needs of each
project. We aspire to provide emergency services
and necessary infrastructure where it has been
lacking, as well as continue to provide everyday
services and humanitarian aid and assistance in cash
and in kind. We hope that constant communication
with the associations, official institutions, and
charitable humanitarian organization will aid us in
this process.
The council was
considered the central resource for social
and humanitarian issues as well as
agricultural issues. The council also is
supportive of the French project, which
conducts water and soil research throughout
the surrounding villages such as Fara, Salih
and Taluzah and Al-Agwar, areas which can be
considered desert like regions.
Last but not least, we
hope that God provides us with guidance on
the right path to benefit our people and our
country, and to bring blessing to this
project in hopes for future successes.
