The Organization
After the formation of the council,
and a complete consultation with all the inhabitants, it was agreed
that associations and supporting organizations would be formed and
that coordination and communication with the council would be
maintained. The council will act as the marketing linkage between
all the associations and organizations listed herein:
-
Al-Bathan Charitable Feminism
Association:
Established in April, 2003, with 120 female members from the
village, presented by an administrative committee of 13 females
voted in for two year terms. The authorization was received in
2005, allowing the association to perform cultural,
practical, traditional, and other benevolent activities.
-
Al-Bathan Farmers Association:
Established in July of 2003, associated with 90 farmers from the
village represented by an administrative organization of five
people voted in for three year terms. It’s an authorized
committee of the mother organization, which is concerned with
farmers’ issues and the means of acknowledging and finding
solutions to these issues. Also, it strengthens connections with
the council by cooperating with local and official foundations,
which sponsor and support farmers, offering them guidance and
financial services.
-
The Social Welfare Committee:
Established as a result of the dire economic circumstances and
constant closures. An agreement was made to form a united
social committee, hiring its members from all working
organizations in order to avoid contradictions and conflicts in
humanitarian and supportive matters. This organization concerns
itself with the financial concerns of the community and aims to
provide support according to the right regulations.
-

An association representing tourist shop owners, where a
representative was chosen for the shop owners, in addition to
the head of the council, to represent Al-Bathan in the higher
organization for the activities of tourism. The association is

and to connect shop owners, organizations, official and domestic
foundations, and investors, in order to develop the
infrastructure and to create a suitable environment for tourism
fundamentals throughout the village.
-

This committee was established, due to the importance of the
environment and to improve the concept of respecting the
environment in general and throughout Al-Bathan in particular.
An association was formed in January of 2005, consisting of 17

nutrition of children. These activities will persist for one
year.
